About His Practice:
Mr. Link practices primarily in the areas of Immigration Law and Criminal
Defense. He has been a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association
(AILA) since 1998 and currently serves as treasurer of the Missouri-Kansas
AILA Chapter. He has provided educational seminars and material on immigration
law to other lawyers at seminars sponsored by the Kansas Association
of Criminal Defense Lawyers and the Wichita Bar Association. His article,
Crime and Punishment in an Alien Nation: Representing Noncitizen Defendants,
was published in the March 2002 issue of the Kansas Trial Lawyers Association
Journal.
Professional Profile:
A 1990 graduate of the University of Hawai’i School of Law, where
he was a member of the law review and the moot court team, Mr. Link
received his undergraduate degree in journalism from the University
of Kansas. He has been admitted to practice before the bars of Guam
(1990), the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (1991), Hawai’i
(1995) and Kansas (1999). He lived in the U.S. Territory of Guam for
20 years, during which time he worked as city editor for the daily newspaper,
The Pacific Daily News, served as press secretary and principal speech
writer to the Governor of Guam, and engaged in the private practice
of law. During his tenure on Guam, he served as vice president of the
Guam Bar Association and sat on its ethics committee. He is an active
member of the Wichita and Kansas bar associations.
